Two newsletters so early in the year - we have been really busy!
INORGANIC CLEAN UP - SEE THE NOTICE ON THE BACK. Come and support the Trust by volunteering to clean up on at least one of the days. Read the details carefully and register with the DoC info office. We need a good showing of members and they're lots of days to choose from.
RAINFOREST EXPRESS - is fully booked. John has promised to organise another trip for later in the year.
Advance Notice - A recital of the musical sort is being organised for late March. Organised by Hilary and performed by Geoffrey Hind (a well known pianist and member) it will be an evening not to be missed.
An extremely large THANK YOU to those who came to the working bee on Anniversary weekend. Over 30, that's right 30 people came to paint, scrub, nail, lift, saw, make tea and coffee, bake and a myriad of other things to make it a really successful weekend. The roof went on in ONE day and the sheds have been started on. A big thanks to Leigh and another anonymous donor for the roofing paper and to Wattyl for the paint, which they donated. They have also offered to match the original roof colour. To Mathew and his cohorts, who had to be persuaded to leave the roof for a break, it was an awesome achievement. Photos will be available at he next members meeting.
An application has been forwarded to the Chisholm Whitney Family Charitable Trust for money to complete the external restoration of Bach 38. We should know by May whether we have been successful. The application could not have been done without the help of Bruce Petry from Salmond Reed Architects and the Trustees would like to thank him very much for all the time he spent helping us.
